Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is alive and active. It speaks to our hearts and transforms us from the inside out. Therefore, we believe staying in God's word daily can have a tremendous impact on our faith and want to provide you with reading plans to get your started. Our heart is not to create a religious "to-do" but instead something to just help you stay focused and consistent in God's word. Feel free to start one of these plans at any time. Our desire is for you to find what works for you.

The Bible in a Year

What if 2023 was the year you read through the entire Bible? Here is a plan that lets you read the bible in chronological order in a year so it makes more sense. Be sure to also check out The Bible Project for informative videos on each book of the Bible before you start it to gain some context as you read.

Acts: You are Sent

This guide is designed to help you dig deeper into the book of Acts. We encourage you to sit down with a Bible, journal, pen, and an open heart each day and allow this to help you in your time with the Lord. In it, you will find a chapter to read each day, questions to think through and journal on, and a verse to memorize each week. Our hope is that this guide will help you learn to meditate on the God’s Word and challenge you to grow deeper in your relationship with God. We also encourage you to watch this overview video from the Bible Project before you begin to give you a better understanding of what the Book of Acts is all about.

Psalms and Proverbs:

The books of Psalms and Proverbs are categorized (along with Job, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon) as the "Wisdom Literature" in the Old Testament. Within the Psalms and Proverbs, you will encounter poems, songs, prayers, sayings, and thoughts written by several authors for the purposes of expressing a vast range of human emotions, thought, and experiences that ultimately reveal how we can reflect the Kingdom of God in our life on earth. Our hope is that through these readings you will be able to analyze your ways of thinking as informed by your culture and your experiences against how God invites you to think and act as a believer. Through your exploration, we hope that you are able to renew your mind and heart to better live in the freedom of God. For a great initial perspective on these books, please watch these videos from the Bible Project!
